About being Single and Indian Coffee hour......

Year 2006 seems to be a year of love ........well not exactly for everyone :(

Everyone seems of to be have suddenly found their soul mate.It all started with jayesh.

I always seemed to wonder why this guy spends hours and hours in front of a computer chatting with somebody from India .It never occurred to me that charms of a girl were behind it. So finally,Mr. Jayesh is not single anymore.What difference does it make ? Well now I have one less person to talk to .That also explains why this guy suddenly bought a laptop.....well anything for love.

Same story back in india too. Two of my college buddies aren't single anymore.Shouldn't that make me happy ? It surely does ... but I hate it when after being out of touch for month or so when i go online and try and have chat with them they start talking about their respective GF's.I had love to talk to them like we did in old times.Talking about everything and anything under the sun and gossiping with each others for hours.But now its all about their girlfriends.

Anyways,talking about good things in life,we organized our first coffee hour today.It was lot of fun and I had blast.We decorated the whole ISC and firangs were quite excited to see all that.A night before it was all chaos, we had to cook the food for 100 people.Well all thanx to Vipul we saw through it.That guy is a master chef.At the end of luncheon we had a little jam session where desis and firangs danced together.It was all too much fun and I would love to be part of another such event.

Ironically, some of the firangs knew a lot more about the indian food than I do.They also suggested me couple of places where i can find better "Samosas".Can u believe it?

Life moving at a fast pace and next few weeks are gonna be hectic with my midterms coming up.I hope that i do well in them although prospects of that are looking bleak right now.

Running After Jobs

February 8 2006.

Morning was hectic as usual.Getting up early and going to work is always pain in neck.

But today my apartment was buzzing with activity..........Reason there was a Career Fair in university.Everybody was up by 8 AM in the morning.

And boy, with 5 guys living in an apartment, the bathroom becomes the hot place.Everybody wants to occupy it in the morning.Anyways it was my first experience in a career fair.With lots of prospective employers accepting resumes there were people all over the campus.

It took me an hour get through it.Later on ,i bunked one my of classes and headed back home.Early morning today i got the news that sachin got a good job in banglore....Hopefully i will have one soon.Its a mixed feeling of being scared and excited .. Scary becoz a lot depends on me getting a summer internship and excited bcoz if i do get one it will be my first off campus job.

While writing this , i am alone in the appartment.Right now,i am finding this lack of comapany peaceful however there times when i get up in the morning and find nobody else in the appartment.Those times i feel utterly lonely and yearn to go back to india.But cant do anything abt it.

Finally bug of blog has bitten me.

This is my first post.

I have lots of assignments to do but still i am wasting my time writing this blog ...

Hopefully, writing a blog will improve my writing skills and will help me put across my thoughts better.
